Hello List,

I had eaten at a Denny's only one time before the
famous lawsuit, and that was enough. They treated
myself and my friends as if we did not exist. When we
went in, we were among less than 10 customers. They
kept putting off taking our order, and more people
cane in (non-black) and they would be waited on, etc.

I finally told them in not so Minnesota Nice terms to
get the lead out - tactfully. When we finally had our
not very pleasant meal, we left them a tip. A penny.
I hope she did not spend it all in one place.

So, I felt very justified in sharing in the spoils of
that lawsuit. It was not much, but when the check
showed up, it paid for some work that I was having
done on my car.

The LORD moves in mysterious ways, doesn't he? Now
Denny's is constantly bending over backwards for Black
people. They are donating quite a chunk of money to
the A.A. Museum. They might as well get a lifetime
membership to the NAACP, ya think :)
