For me, a slightly less-uniform cut is worthwhile. I highly recommend that
anyone who hasn't pushed a reel mower lately should try it. Over the
weekend, I heard one of my neighbors getting a gas mower up and running for
the season's first cut. The gasoline had no doubt been sitting in the tank
over the winter, and it was a rough start. A few minutes later, when I
looked outside, my neighbor was walking behind the mower in a blue cloud of
smoke.

The noise and air pollution, storage and (inevitable) spilling of gasoline
and oil simply don't seem worthwhile to me.

Can list members recommend Minneapolis businesses that sharpen reel mowers
or sell used reel mowers?

Thank you,
