I too was bummed that the planetarium was cut, but I'm also concerned about
our credit rating.
Or did Jesse just cut it because he's anti-planetarium...hmmmm...
I would think Cesar Pelli is designing the library with the planetarium,
assuming we'll have
the dough when it comes to building. It's a little strange that Bob gave a
shout out to Winona,
and then votes against a new library. We need a new library, correct me if I'm
wrong,
but are libraries not the spine of a western civilized city.....Ideally the
library that is
built will last us 700 or 800 years....ha ha ha. I can almost hear the
wrecking ball taking down
the "new Mpls library", hey it's good for the economy...

Seven generations from now will wonder why we played with mother nature
and ignored our city's water and air quality.
Is air /water quality going to get better on it's own? Hardly.

I was wondering though, why the library board didn't include the planetarium
in the referendum, did they think it would not pass?
