2. EDUCATIONAL FORUM: It Ain't Easy Being Green!

East Lake Library, 2727 E Lake St, Minneapolis

Curious about the difference between the Greens and
other political movements, including those on the
"progressive left"? This will be a combination of
presentations and discussions, and everyone is welcome
to attend, especially new Greens and Green candidates.

2. The Origin and Meaning of Green Values
3. Application of Green Values to Elected Office

* The time for discussion and breaks will be guided by
the interests of
those who attend. We expect interest to wane around
1:00 or 2:00, but the
room is reserved for the whole day.


3. LOCAL ENDORSING CONVENTION

Saturday, June 8, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM�
Park House, 2120 Park Ave S, Minneapolis

This is it! We will be considering endorsing
candidates for Minnesota House and Senate seats and
the U.S. House Representative for the 5th
Congressional
District. All Green Party members who live in the 5th
District may participate. Others are welcome to
observe.

� This event may run late if we have a large number of
candidates.


4. A LITTLE ABOUT THE "M5"

The purpose of the Minneapolis/Fifth District Green
Party is to create and sustain a thriving local
political party in affiliation with the Green Party
of Minnesota based on the ten key values of ecological
wisdom, social and economic justice, grassroots
democracy, nonviolence, decentralization, feminism,
community-based economics, respect for diversity,
personal and global responsibility, and future focus.
Its goals are to engage in electoral politics and
social action to promote these values and help create
a more democratic, just and sustainable society where
people live in harmony with the Earth and each other.

We hold General Membership meetings every other month
at various locations in Minnesota's 5th Congressional
District, which includes Columbia Heights, Crystal,
Fort Snelling, Fridley, Golden Valley, Hilltop,
Minneapolis, New Hope, Robbinsdale, Spring Lake Park,
St. Anthony, St. Louis Park, and most of Hopkins and
Richfield.
