Keith, and others, I wonder if the summer could be spent organizing "events" and just take SAFE up on their word to provide a presence and hot dogs?
If the aroma of hotdogs becomes the warning flag, so be it. I know I'm sitting in my safe, south Minneapolis library and I'm going to go home to my safe SE Minneapolis house and have no right to offer anything to anyone, but, since doing nothing isn't the ticket, how about block parties, church ice cream socials, merchants' crazy days, kids clubs membership drives, more block parties and anything else you can name or think up. If there's an event 2 or 3 times a week, with hotdogs and cops, at least it's a start and that's better than doing nothing but worry. I do understand that after the cops go home the pond scum returns, but isn't the idea to be as safely disruptive to the scum as possible? Again: I'm living in a glass house, here. Please don't take offense. _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
