      If you mean we have a problem with defining people as 
members of an ethnic/interest group first and secondly as
fellow Republicans, then I suppose we do have a problem. 
I would rather have my neighbors join the Republican party 
because we believe the same things than have them join because
"that's where Black/Latino/GLBT people belong", which seems to
be the attitude of a whole mess of DFLers locally and Democrats
nationally - that minorities "naturally" belong in their
party, and a conservative black or gay person "isn't really
black" or "isn't really gay".
