I want to make list members aware of new reporters and responsibilities at
Southwest Journal and Skyway News. We welcome & appreciate your information
and tips, so I want to give you a way to reach our reporters directly. Of
course, feel free to contact me any time.

Generally, our reporters now write for both papers. So if you're in the
Downtown or SW Mpls spheres of influence, contact them. Specific
neighborhood responsibilities are listed below.

Kevin Featherly is our new City Hall/government reporter. He also handles
public safety. He will cover legislative races in SW and Downtown districts,
too. His email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] and direct dial is
612-436-4373.

Ellen Nigon primarily covers Downtown. She is responsible for the North
Loop, Downtown Mpls Neighborhood Assn., Elliot Park, Nicollet Island-East
Bank and now Loring Park neighborhoods. Her email is [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and direct dial is 612-436-4372.

Caitlin Pine covers housing, schools and arts issues. She'll be our school
board election correspondent, too. She also follows the Linden Hills,
Lynnhurst, Fulton, ECCO and Armatage neighborhoods. She's at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] or 612-436-4369.

Robyn Repya covers transportation, business issues and is our history
expert. She also follows the CIDNA, Windom, Kingfield, East Harriet, Lowry
Hill East and Kenny neighborhoods. [EMAIL PROTECTED] or 612-436-4368.

Scott Russell covers parks and the airport and general city services. He
also keeps up with Whittier, Stevens Square, Lyndale and CARAG.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] or 612-436-4367.

We are in the process of hiring a fourth reporter - resumes accepted at 3225
Lyndale Ave. S. 55408 or to [EMAIL PROTECTED] So right now, we don't
have a regular correspondent following Bryn Mawr, Kenwood, Tangletown, East
Isles, West Calhoun or Lowry Hill. Feel free to contact me about those
neighborhoods - [EMAIL PROTECTED] or 612-436-4371.

We appreciate your tips on news, crime, business openings or closings,
neighborhood activities, interesting people, and pretty much anything you or
your neighbors think is worth discussing at a city, community or
neighborhood level. The Journal has long been a great community paper and we
appreciate the community's help making it better.

Please pass this info on to anyone else in your sphere of influence who
might benefit from it.

Thanks,
David Brauer

Editor, Southwest Journal and Skyway News
