<< Keith Reitman wrote, "I thought it was our Mean City Mothers who
were so hurtful and callous. Now I learn from posts by Mr. Bonham and Mr.
Melendez that the Stonewall DFL leaders are also, for the most part the
MPLS. DFL leaders. Thanks for the insight, I will not be able, from hence
forward, to ignore the (Gay) men behind the curtain. As in 'OZ', they were
in control, and promoted the skirts fronting so many detrimental City
 policies."

Neither Tim Bonham nor I made any statement supporting the inference
that Keith has incorrectly drawn. What I actually wrote was, "Of the City
DFL Party's eight elected officers, six are members of the Stonewall DFL
Caucus. Of the City's six senate-district chairs, five are members of the
Stonewall Caucus, and the sixth senate district's associate chair is a
 member."

There is a significant distinction between being a member and being
a leader of an organization. Most leaders in the City DFL Party are members
of the Stonewall Caucus because we support the principles that it stands
for, but we do not run the organization or set its agenda. Likewise, the
Stonewall Caucus is a statewide organization, so many of its leaders do not
even come from Minneapolis, and most of its leaders who do live in
Minneapolis are members but not officers or "leaders" in the City DFL Party.

The Stonewall DFL Caucus and the Minneapolis DFL Party share only
one officer in common: Andrew J. Hauer serves as the Stonewall Caucus
Treasurer, and as the City DFL Finance Director. Tim Bonham, who serves as
City DFL Treasurer, works on the Stonewall Caucus's database. There is
otherwise no overlap between the two organizations' leadership.

See, apparently unlike the Independence and Republican parties, the
Stonewall DFL Caucus IS PART OF THE DFL. We are officially chartered
through the party and receive assistance from staff and officers all the
time.(**) Hell, most of us ARE staff and officers of the DFL.(**)

Keith says; My "revelation" about Stonewall DFL: The Gay DFL Caucus that
pushes the buttons and moves the levers of our Local DFL was caused by the
Quote above. It was posted at this List by Megan Thomas. I must believe she
knows the facts. I misspoke when I attributed it to Mr. Bonham or Mr.
Melendez. I herewith correct my post's attribution. I also wish to correct
another point: I only thought I was Gay. I attribute my "confusion" to
reading so many Gay oriented posts on this List. It was fun while it lasted
so I hope the Gay posters continue their Postings. However, if the Stonewall
DFL Caucus controlled or created the last DFL Regime; then the rest must out
them. And give them the proper attribution.
