First, for PennBroKeith - what in the hell has the Gay Community
got to do with the failures of Sharon Sayles Belton? A good portion
of this community and the Democratic Party worked very hard to
get rid of her by electing RT Rybak. You should be thanking them.
Or are you under the delusion that the Republican Party elected RT?

Keith says; Dear GemGram; The "Gay Community" has absolutely nothing to do
with the failures of SSB, thanx for asking. It is the Stonewall DFL Caucus, a
group that by definition are like minded individuals, that require research
and scrutiny. (See Below)
As an American brought up in the Cold War Era one party rulers trouble me
deeply. Jackie Cherryhomes was mean, vindictive, and an autocrat. But we saw
her and knew who she was, and defeated her; she was the most powerful
politician in Mpls. But Party wonks: aparatchniks, in the worst case, are
very stealthy: and can survive an upset election and still get away with
misguided, misdirected and mean spirited mayhem. Let us shine a little
daylight where the sun don't always shine: The gears and wheels of the DFL
Party: The Stonewall DFL Caucus.

(below)Megan Thomas, Chair, Stonewall DFL, West Seventh; says that:

"See, apparently unlike the Independence and Republican parties, the
Stonewall DFL Caucus IS PART OF THE DFL. We are officially chartered
through the party and receive assistance from staff and officers all the
time.(**) Hell, most of us ARE staff and officers of the DFL.(**)"
