Just for the record it's the Prairie Island Dakota Community (Oyate).
My two cents after S11 would be let us take some further precautions.
The talk of a 75 percent success rate for the terrorists would have been
farfetched, as much as the "talk" of an nuclear related accident, if
ever there was a society of accidents, we are that society. So it's not
really if but when, really, it will happen. If not us, our children...so
yeah, I think it's scary.
This is deadly stuff, we are talking about our health and welfare. What
I think is funny is that we and the tribal government of Prairie Island
think it's ok to put it on someone else's land and Indian reservation.
If someone wants to tell me otherwise, but I believe either in Utah or
Nevada this would end up on Shoshone land because there will be another
temporary site.
Ninety miles from Yucca is Las Vegas, oh that's ok we poisoned them in
the fifties and they didn't seem to mind..... Contrary to what has been
said, nukes are more than what is here. It's ok to make decisions that
effect me or us, but we have made a big decision for future generations
to deal with, I hope they have more insight than our generation of
leaders and citizens.
