one brother or cousin after another
weren't enough to scare them into quitting
The time has come to seriously ask the question: what can we do to harness the energy evident in gang life, and turn it to more constructive and productive purposes? Have any offered alternatives to the root cause of gang society? Have we included the "gangs" in trying to find alternative solutions to the problems from which they rise? The death of our future is a tragedy in deed; but not as tragic as the society that sits silent as our future marches out in senseless war. Even in death, their actions enriches some other. They deserve better. It's time for a change.
