Eve White of the Property Rights group reported Alan Arthur's CCHT to HUD because they were at about 50% capacity. HUD investigated and found White's claims to be credible. CCHT then reacted by filling their units.
Private landlords lose money when the vacancy rate is high. Some of these non-profit affordable housing providers don't. There is a problem there. Eve White's story about this is pretty compelling and it concerns me. I hope that City Pages or Skyway News or some other venue decides to cover this story.
