Forum on proposed Zoning Code changes that could affect your community

An opportunity to hear from and discuss the proposed changes to residential zoning ordinances with elected city officials & staff. Changes may effect the "R2B Lot Dimension & Building Bulk Requirements" (Table 546-9), among other things. What might this mean for your property or block? What does R2B zoning mean? How is my property or block currently zoned? How does zoning affect what I can do with my property? - Don't let your lack of understanding of city zoning regulations keep you from attending, we'll cover the basics and answer any questions. Facilitated by a volunteer from the League of Women Voters of Minneapolis. Open to the public.
Does anyone know what fueled this proposed change? Como is zoned R-1 and that zoning came as a result of neighborhood activism. Does anyone know what would be the reason for the city council to even consider a change? (It ain't broke. It's just the way we want it. Why do they want to "fix" it?)
