Today's issue of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal (formerly CityBusiness) carries a story saying that:

    1) Abbott-Northwestern Hospital wants to buy the 608,000 square foot warehouse on the north side of the Sears property and build a five-story parking ramp on an existing parking lot next to the building;

    2) Abbott and Minnepolis Heart Institute are interested in leasing 38,000 SF in the nearby 1965 building for a pathology and imaging lab;
    3) Hennepin County wants to buy three floors of the old 1928 tower for 120,000 SF of offices and a service center;
    4) A grocer is interested in 50,000 SF on the first floor of the Sears tower (not Cub or Rainbow).

Subject: [Mpls] Sears Tower

Now that Block E is finally on its way, can anyone tell me what the plan is for the Sears Tower?  We here in Powderhorn have endured too many years of rot and decay.  Viva la neighborhood!
