Folks, I'd ask a couple of things at this point:

1. As long-time list members know, we try to stay focused on the city
issues. Please don't turn this into a forum for discussing the forum. If
you have opinions on your fellow members, please email the offending
member directly or email me if you feel discipline is warranted.

It's a good time for members to review the rules at
http://www.e-democracy.org/mpls. They are a condition for participating
here. Guideline #3 states, "Complaints about a list member's behavior
should be directed to the list member and the list owner:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] These complaints should not be posted to the list."

2. In that spirit, I would ask anyone with questions or comments about
the recent rules change not to debate it on the list. I'm happy to field
your thoughts, or to pass them onto my board (you'll be cc'd). The board
has the right to make the rules - but they, like me will listen to your
feedback. Please don't swamp the list with it.

3. Despite the "heat" of the last day, I think nearly every participant
wants this to be a credible, constructive forum that positively affects
the city (whatever complaints you may have at present).

I'd respectfully suggest that rather than debating the list's quality,
from here on we please post according to the spirit of the rules, toward
a civil, civic discussion.

This goes for the list manager, and his alter ego, too.

Sincerely,
David Brauer
List manager
