Several years ago (1995 or 1996) the Minneapolis Public High Schools developed a Dean system. At Patrick Henry High School, each program (IB, Open, Comprehensive, etc.) had a Dean. The main role of the Dean was to be the first stop in dealing with both academic and behavioral issues as well as to provide guidance to the overall program. So, Lucky Rosenbloom perhaps is/was a Dean at North High.
