A community-cleanup program in the Jordan neighborhood of Minneapolis is under fire
from activists angry that Hennepin County is paying The City Inc. $25,000 to hire
local kids to pick up trash.

The idea stemmed from a drive that Hennepin County Board Member Mark Stenglein took
through the area after a rampage on Aug. 22 that followed a drug bust near 26th and
Knox Avs. N.
