Just two weeks before the start of
Minneapolis City Council Member
Joe Biernat's federal corruption trial,
the U.S. attorney's office has subpoenaed
more records from the city.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark D. Larsen
told the Minneapolis Community Development
Agency (MCDA) to deliver records relating
to Biernat; his wife, Sheila Biernat;
his mother, Sophie Biernat; a codefendant,
former Plumbers Local 15 business manager
Thomas J. Martin; and several addresses
with connections to those individuals.
