>David Piehl responds: > >Gee Wizard - for someone who WASN'T EVEN AT THE >MEETING, you sure seem to have a lot of "knowlege", or >as Eva says, "wizstories" on the subject. >Can't Tom >Johnson speak for himself, or does he need to use you >for his spokesperson on this list?
I had breakfast with Tom Johnson today and appreciated getting information directly from him about this project. I encouraged Tom to post updates about the Project to this and other relevant lists. I didn't directly ask Johnson whether he had asked Wizard to post on his behalf, but I doubt he would have. He has posted himself, and his assistant Erin has also posted on his behalf here. >Wizard continues: >Actually, the PAC received an alleged petition with no >names attached. So all they know is that a petition >may have been circulated, but apparently no one signed >it. > >David Piehl responds: >No, Dave Jensen received a copy of the verbage, and >glanced at the petition, and the petition is being >turned in to our political leaders, as stated. In the >hall, Robert Lilligren got a look at the petition, >which is appropriate given his dual status as council >member and PAC representative. Political leaders who >will receive copies of the petition - complete with >signatures and phone numbers - will include Robert >Lilligren, Dean Zimmerman, Neva Walker, and Karen >Clark at this point. I'm sure it will be available >for viewing in their offices. The reason we didn't >make it directly available to PAC was stated at the >meeting: many residents expressed concern (real or >perceived) that they did not want to be badgered by >phone calls from Tom Johnson. Tom called me yesterday >and (very politely) requested a copy with signatures, >per Craig Anderson's request, so I will make a copy >available for Craig, but only after it is discussed >with the folks who expressed concern that only our >political representation have access to their phone >numbers - some of which are not listed. I find that rather odd. I don't recall ever getting calls from signing petitions - but if someone did call me to discuss concerns related to a petition I signed, I wouldn't have a problem with that.
