Please explain the need to spend $4.4 million for 30 apartments, when there are more than 394 vacant right now in Minneapolis.
I just did a search on the Star Tribune website for 1 bedroom units between $500 and $699. Also keep in mind that lots of vacancies are not advertised through the Strib. There is no shortage of housing - for anyone. If you know of 30 people who are having trouble finding a place to live, please contact me directly. I promise that I will get them situated within a week. Just so you know Mr. Lacy, I can afford to pay my taxes and I don't mind a bit. Lots of your neighbors however cannot. Perhaps you should think of ways to reduce the $1.5 billion of Minneapolis debt rather than think of ways to spend more money on unnecessary projects.
