What do you mean by ambulance accessible, Wizard? Isn't that a basic requirement for all housing? And, if it isn't why isn't it? Isn't that why we have parking restrictions in the winter -- so that all buildings in the city are accessible to emergency vehicles?
I thought I read somewhere that the average emergency response time in Minneapolis is 3 minutes for the arrival of the first on the scene -- often the Fire Dept.'s paramedics -- with a maximum of 7 minutes for the arrival time of the ambulance. If there are some places in the city that aren't accessible by ambulances (not to mention other emergency vehicles), wouldn't that be a violation of some code (one hopes)?
