I was reminded by an article in the Minneapolis Observer this week that I had a question that someone on the list might possibly be able to answer.
The article was about an art gallery that has had its share of problems. One being the fire next door that destroyed an auto body shop on Mothers Day. My question is "How long is the city going to permit the burned out shell of the auto body shop to sit there and deteriorate?" It's been almost five months now. Besides being an absolute eyesore, I have to believe that it is dangerous. Parts of the roof have fallen in. I don't think that the parts remaining with will be able to support any kind of substantial snowfall. Is there an ordinance that deals with these situations? Is it up to the owner? What is the city going to do?
