Wizard Marks Wrote: David Piehl was appointed to represent CNIA and served for three years though since his attendance was spotty
CNIA was not satisfied with him as its representative. Also, CNIA got fed up with his biased reporting on what the committee was doing and appointed David Jensen to replace Piehl. David Piehl responds: Well, this is another "Wizstory" for Eva Young's collection - as Wizard has SO often done on this list with so many members, she is rewriting history to suit her agenda. I served the on the committee while I was a CNIA board member, but after Wizard helped create the tremendous liability for the CNIA board by taking illegal actions (CNIA was sued and eventually settled out of court), I resigned due to avoid appearing to agree with the actions of the board. When I resigned CNIA, it was automatic that I resigned PAC as CNIA wanted a board member to be the rep. After I resigned, Karen Forbes offered to take the position, but Zach Metoyer, who was CNIA president at the time, wanted to be the rep and the board appointed him instead, as Karen wasn't a board member. Zach posted on CNIA-chat that he was unable to make most of the meetings due to his schedule, and eventually Marie Hauser - a board member by that time - and Dave Jensen were appointed. If my reporting was biased, as Wizard claims, then it was PAC's bias because my reports consisted basically of reading or summarizing PAC minutes and offering a copy for CNIA files. Four years ago there was little to be "biased" about, since there were something like twenty options officially being considered. Further, I wasn't against the project at that time, because it looked ENTIRELY different than how it looks today, and nobody at that time could have guessed it would become a $150 million dollar deal - I also naively believed that the PAC would make decisions based on what was the best possible scenario for the neighborhood - I don't think 8 lanes on Lake St (among other items) qualifies!! Your sources were wrong again Wizard, so please apologize. David Piehl Central __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
