Good news! Hiawatha LRT plans call for at least 6 bike lockers and 10 bike loops at each station. There will also be 2 bicycle storage hangers inside each rail car. The Metropolitan Council definitely wants to make bike-to-rail commutes work.
I'd already read this and I appreciate it greatly. I do, though, have a question. I don't own a "standard" bicycle - I own a recumbent. The racks will be useful and I can lock my bike at the station. However, I suspect the storage hangers are designed for standard upright bicycles (what recumbent riders refer to as "wedgies"). I admit that recumbent owners are a minority and I would actually be surprised if we were taken into account in the design of light rail, but I'll ask the question anyhow. Will I be able to take my bike on the train?
