I would say that elected officials ought to meet their constituents where they 
are.  If it is an e-mail list as widely known and available as the Mpls-Issues 
list, then I think it is fair to expect a response.

I, too, was impressed at Mike Opat's response to my questions for him on this 
list.  I believe it is a step in the right direction for elected officials to 
start coming into the next century of constituent communications.
