Neal St. Anthony on the latest legal developments in Steve Minn's
221-unit Mississippi River development.

St. Anthony writes: "A Hennepin County judge ruled recently that the
Minneapolis City Planning Commission did nothing wrong in rezoning the
several-acre parcel to permit limited residential development. But Judge
Cara Lee Neville also found that the city illegally interpreted its own
zoning ordinance to grant Minn, a former City Council member, a variance
that would permit him to build one dwelling per lot area of 380 square
feet. That's only half the 720 square feet necessary, even with a 20
percent variance."
