Hello list, I had to respond to an inaccurate statement on my desires made by Jim Mork. He says below that he knows for sure that I'm not ready to "pony up" for better libraries. This is false. I have stated in public foura that I believe we are under taxed. I have further said that I'm willing to pay more taxes, especially the regressive property tax that funds the Library. Further, I send money to the Friends of the Minneapolis Library, a nonprofit organization supporting the Library. I also pay my fines regularly and would gladly pay more in late fines if the Library increased their income through increased rates.
