Dang! He beat me to the joke! Speaking of that area of town: a question. On the east side of Hiawatha Avenue, south of the tunnel, there is a parallel frontage road. It runs south from the Minnehaha Park Driver Intelligence Tester -- the roundabout -- to empty onto Hiawatha Avenue near the off-leash park. Monday through Fridays that road is blocked off by barricades, and weekends the barricades are removed. This seems foolish. I've seen SUVs drive ten yards onto the grass on either side to circumvent the barricades. I myself have detoured throught he Veteran's Home parking lot at 10 MPH to reach Minnehaha Parkway.
