A simple word of thanks to Kevin Featherly and the Southwest Journal on a straight-up, impartial and (atleast from my viewpoint) accurate presentation of facts regarding the House race in District 63A.

Voting in the past has usually been like taking a True-False test- you didn't really have to study very hard to take it- even though you may not know why the right answer is correct you certainly know why the wrong answer is incorrect- just guess and you are assured a 50-50 chance of passing- include the questions that are no-brainers and even someone who did not study real good can get a passing grade.

But now, in a multi-candidate race, voting becomes like a multiple choice test (I hated those types of tests)- now atleast 2, 3 and possibly even more answers may be correct, but it is up to me to study and thoroughly know the topic and pick the single answer that is the most correct.  An answer that I might have chosen in a True-False test as correct could now be marked wrong.

I hope voters this fall will look at all of the alternatives, study the issues and make the correct selections.  And remember, even though you were ready to pick one answer when you thought you were going to be taking a T-F test, there is nothing wrong with changing your answer and choosing the best of the 'right' answers.
