Why is it that liberals always seem to stigmatize the views of people
that
disagree with them? I am not an xenophobe, I just happen to disagree.

[TB] I'm not sure that Rep. Kahn is stigmatizing anyone, nor am I sure
that it is a tactic owned by the left side of the spectrum.

Why is it that an arbitrary line that someone drew, maybe hundreds of
years ago, is so important.

Why is it that property taxes are held level across the street of
accross the river in St. Paul for a decade but here in Minneapolis it
is considered a sacrifice to hold increases to 8%?

Why is it that developers of housing are expected to keep a portion of
it affordable in Minneapolis but not in Eden Prairie?

... and then the people who do live in Minneapolis are expected to
give up land for roads so that the people that do live in Eden Prairie
can drive into Minneapolis?

... and the people who live in Minneapolis are expected are expected
to provide high value land for the people who live in Minnetonka to
park the cars they have driven into Minneapolis?

Why is it that the people in the far 'burbs object to the suggestion
that the people who live in Minneapolis might prefer to use a bus (or
heaven forbid a train) to get from place to place instead of mixing it
up in traffic?

And maybe isn't it time to remember that many years ago the City of
Minneapolis merged with this little place on the river called St.
Anthony and merge a bunch of other municipalities for, afterall, how
much different are things on one side of France Avenue than the other
or on one side of where ever the southern border in your part of town
than the other?

And why isn't there any leadership out of Minneaplis City Hall in
reminding us that this is a single urban area and not some crazy
confederation, afterall, even Italy was eventually united?
