For the last couple weeks I've had a lot off trouble getting
a decent internet connection here in Hawthorne. I get a lot of
failures to connect and drops, and bandwith is pretty limited. This
is occurring with two different ISPs. One possibility is that these
problems are caused by the recent denial of service attacks that took
down much of the internet at times. I also have high noise level on
the phone lines. I've tried disconnecting everything in the house
connected to the phone lines and even bypassing my home's phone lines
and going directly to the outside phone network interface box. No
matter what I try, the problems continue.
Before I give up on Qwest and go back to cable internet
access, is anyone else having similar problems?
