Mr Donnelly is correct. Comparing core cities with a national average is
not apples to apples. Even trying to compare core city to core city is
difficult as some core cities are truely core cities like here in the Twin
Cities and some have expanded to the "suburbs" through annexation. So the
only real comparable statistic is urban area to urban area.
The Twin Cities has always had a strong history towards home ownership.
