I read all the profiles. Quite frankly, the majority of them keep talking
about community involvement, asking them what they value, what they need,
etc. The community has answered that basic question time and again, and
have been consistently, and systematically, ignored. I see none of the
candidates with any concrete and relevant plan of action EXCEPT for DOUG
MANN.

I ask that you vote for the candidate that has consistently and
systematically LISTENED and actually COMPREHENDED what was said by the
community, has EXPERIENCED what they have felt, and is actively working to
ensure the best possible educational arena for ALL CHILDREN.

More policy meetings won't do it. Are computers going to be given to all
the low-income families so they can have the luxury of responding to online
forums/questionnaires? Is a legacy of years of educational indifference
going to serve us well in the future? Will more money help if we don't have
a plan on how to use what we already have in a fiscally prudent way? What
other boards will want to work with us without us getting a clue first?

Vote Doug Mann for School Board. Vote Walter Mondale for Senator.
Because with these two in office YOUR CHILD may one day have the opportunity
AND the knowledge to sit and serve in one of these seats.

(Who come next Tuesday will be trying her best to keep Florida out of the
Bush's)
