Tom Johnson also has told the PAC members that the McDonald's franchisee is OK with the project. I spoke with Jeff the owner of McDonald's and he doesn't want the project at all. Jeff said that he would not only loose his location but would be unable to rebuild in the area because of drive through laws and lack of suitable sites. This proposed project is not welcomed by most business owners within the three block effected area on either side of I 35W. The small businesses on the South side of Lake east of the freeway will lose all of their on street parking. The project will be the death of many businesses in the impacted area on Lake.
