In MN, felons can vote

A voter registration campaign in Minneapolis
has uncovered a disturbing reality: many
citizens incorrectly believe they no longer
have the right to vote because of a criminal
history.

Since early summer several civic organizations
have banded together to register voters to
increase voting participation in neighborhoods
with historically poor turnout. While
door-to-door canvassing, volunteers from
the Election Day Coalition were struck by
the number of people who thought a felony
conviction barred them from voting for life.
