I have been reading the issues forum today and am wondering if the democrats in this city truly believe that all republicans are wealthy, don't care about children and would like to throw out public education? Yesterday as I was leaving Washburn (my voting poll) I decided to drive the lakes back to my office. I remembered what Mondale had said during the debate, Norman you are only representing the rich! The Mondale/Wellstone signs dominated the homes around each of the city lakes. Are those "rich" people not counted within the democratic constituency?
While I was writing this to the forum, our office cleaning crew came in and were smiling. They are very happy about the election. Do you think they qualify as a republican in the eyes of the democrats? The next few years will be interesting and I am very happy to be part of a society where we can discuss this openly!
