The voter turn-out in my legislative district was HUGE. Generally, my area is very low. The voter turn-out was also huge on the northside of Minneapolis.
I agree. I also think it's going to be important for the City to look long and hard at their strategy for dealing with the state government. I think the typical strategy -- blaming the Republicans for everything will not be successful. I hope the Mayor of the City of Minneapolis quits whining about the Republicans (I understand Rybak is very angry with GOP legislatures), and basically gets over it, quits whining, rolls up his sleeves and figures out ways to work with the Governor and state house. I hope to see Rybak invite our new Governor to visit the great city of Minneapolis.Whatever the turn-out. People got out to vote. That is a good thing.
I also hope our new state auditor takes a hard look at NRP.
