The City of Minneapolis has 42 commissions and advisory committees, governed by the Open Appointments process. Citizen volunteers advise the City on current issues and assist in policy development through these groups. The Citizens Fair will highlight the work done by these groups and actively recruit membership for any current vacancies. For future openings, citizens may express interest in serving on particular boards and communications and have their letter of interest filed with the City Clerks office.
