Resisting the call to war:
A town meeting at Lyndale United Church of Christ
With Martin Sabo On December 15

Martin Sabo, one of the state's U.S. representatives to vote no on the
resolution granting President George W. Bush war powers against Iraq, will
speak at a town meeting, Sunday, Dec. 15, 2-4 p.m., at Lyndale United Church
of Christ, 810 W. 31st St. (at Aldrich), in Minneapolis. Following a brief
presentation, Sabo will answer questions and work with participants to
devise effective strategies for communicating with Congress.

Individuals and organizations working to make their voices heard in
Washington, D.C. on issues of war and peace are invited to join the December
15 conversation with Sabo, who represents Minnesotas fifth district.
Opportunities to network with one another and to discuss future actions will
follow Sabo's presentation. The meeting is free and open to the public.

=================

I'm a member of Lyndale Church and invite you all to this town meeting.
Please let's not launch into a discussion of the war (as much as I would
like to, too, believe me); this is intended to simply be an invitation to
this Minneapolis event.... Thanks, everybody.
