Mn-Politics is having an after election "bury the hatchet"
party at Lendway's (University and Dale-NE corner-right next to the
police station) at 6 pm this Tuesday the 12th. We would sure like
it if our friends from the Minneapolis and the St. Paul forums came to join
us. There's plenty of free parking behind and beside
Lendway's.
A lot of us had bets on the election and will have to pay
up. I had a bet with a Republican that Pawlenty wouldn't pull 30%.
The bet involved tongue. Well, I lost. Now I have to eat tongue at
the party. Yech.
I offered Chief Finney a couple of beers if he showed up
to our little fete this Tuesday. If Chief Olson shows up he would get the
same deal. I'd LOVE to make their acquaintance. We certainly have a
lot to talk about.
We plan on having lots of fun. If you have a guitar or
other musical instrument, please bring it. Matt Linkert lost his bet and
has to sing a song to Mitch Berg. Mitch decided to bring his guitar and
accompany him. Now everyone is going to bring their guitars, mandolins,
violins, banjos, harmonicas, whatever. I have a kazoo.
