Perhaps the trickiest aspect of proposed
mediation sessions aimed at cooling
police-community tensions in Minneapolis
gets underway today with a public meeting
devoted to selecting community representatives
to the panel.

The discussions to be led by a federal
mediator are set to begin Dec. 10 and
continue with weekly meetings for three
months.
