Biernat's wife describes illness, intimidation

Joe Biernat paced in the living room of
his northeast Minneapolis home last spring,
tired, agitated, sick and trying to decide
whether to sign a second FBI statement about
free plumbing work and a vote he'd made on
the Minneapolis City Council.

Biernat's wife, Sheila, detailed what she
called the "pressure cooker" scene as she
testified Monday in her husband's public
corruption trial in federal court in
Minneapolis.
