Does anybody else find the attached statement by the
Mayor to be amazingly unapologetic? It strikes me
additionally as quite terse and perfunctory. I don't
live in the third ward, but I frankly think that the
Mayor's statement about it not being without
representation is a little over the top.

Where's the: "I'm really sorry that you basically
don't have a CM?" It sounds to me instead like a:
"quit cryin', you've got a Mayor anyway."

(Not to put words in his mouth, of course.)

Furthermore, if he wants to tell city employees not to
hang their heads, it perhaps ought to have been in an
internal email, rather than a universal statement. We
don't really need to hear about how great city
employees are right now, because we the citizens of
Minneapolis have been manipulated by more than one of
them recently. Our suspicion and dissatisfaction is
not without justification, and needs to be addressed
frankly by those who remain in City Hall.

Speaking only for myself,
