At the last National Night Out the subject of Mr. Biernat came up, and here in the third ward there seemed to be little sympathy for Joe. People, I think saw it for what it was, corruption. The fact that he was dragging this thing out only irritated my neighbors more. People just wanted it over, but Joe was so certain that the rule of law would come to save him, why? That's the larger question. It seemed pretty clear that Joe was toast, so why make it worse for everyone, including himself. And as this will move from news to just another footnote to the last administration, I hope like the tao, the depressed shall be exalted and the high will be drown low, but not destroyed. The last thing I would want to see is another family shredded.
Robert Yorga St. Anthony West new3 "The highest form of goodness is like water.Water knows how to benefit all things without striving with them. It stays in places loathed by all men. Therefore, it comes near the tao. In choosing your dwelling, know how to keep to the ground. In cultivating your mind, know how to dive in the hidden deeps. In dealing with others, know how to be gentle and kind. In speaking, know how to keep your words. In governing, know how to maintain order. In transacting business, know how to be efficient. In making a move, know how to choose the right moment. If you do not strive with others, you will be free from blame." -from the te ching _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
