Rita Lavin's posting regarding the actual experience of living in a supportive housing cluster is so calm, kind and clear. I can only hope that it stimulates some serious public policy examination of this issue. Supportive housing clustering is bad public policy and yet it is clearly being pushed by some housing advocates and contemplated at City Hall. When will the impacted neighborhoods have an opportunity to express their experiences and point of view?
We still are waiting for an explanation of the procedure for public input into this critical issue.
