I have read alot of different things on this list regarding Political parties on the list. People have to rember that when "other People" not from Minneapolis people think of Minneapolis as a DFL city. People think that the state as a hole as a Liberal city. When the city had its last election it was between 2 DFLers SSB and RT. And people just have to look at the make up of the state and the city and people have to believe in the system.
Now with the other parties that have gotten involved that has given them some leverage on the council. The third party movement in the city I think is going in the right direction. If people want to organize and get a third party movement going in the city they are going to have to get there ducks in a row and try to get there message out to the voters.
I think that the DFL will do that after what happened to them state wide. I think that people have to work with each other to help get a pro active message to the people of the city.
What is make up of the city council by party. DFL,R,Greens, IND, and so forth? That is where we need to start. Can some one please provide us with the numbers for the Council.
I think that we need to focus on the people that are running the city rather then the party. I know that there is some council members that are in trouble with the law right now what political weight does that carry on the council? Does the DFL have a "Majority" right now on the council?
Please let me know of the numbers and the party break down. Name party Ward and so forth.
