By "marketable job skills" I meant skills that can get people employed
in "good" jobs...not throw away service jobs or dead-end semi-skilled jobs.
Maybe young people would be more likely to attend school if they
knew it had value for them.

Your previously mentioned programming?  I still don't understand why vocational
training shouldn't be integrated into the regular high school curriculum.
