Your 50% is rarely half of all eligible voters. I think that a majority is fine in an free and open democracy. Besides there are really only two parties in Minneapolis: Green and the DFL. ;-) You need to do more outreach and by touting the benefits of the two party system I think you are defeating your purpose.
