It seems to me that when organizations like Urban Ventures have voting membership on the PAC, it's not really a citizen's group.I think it's important to note, that all of RT's comments on the Excess Project centered on the access portion. I believe RT is aware of the expansion included in the plan, where is RT on expansion? My gut says that a key ROAR guy would be against expanding urban freeways and streets. The significance of the end-run MNDoT did to get expansion included was not lost on the former mayor; RT, can you pls comment? Also, I'm interested in hearing about the citizens group that came together - is this STRIDE? That's the only citizens group - other than the reviving NTN that I'm aware of.
I would also like to hear RT clarify his position on the expansion portion of the project. After all his predescessor did. Actually has Peter McLaughlin ever commented on the expansion portion of the project? Stride's website really is funny when it quotes Peter McLaughlin -- who after all is a wonderful comic character with all these "amusing if it didn't happen to you" life stories.
