A town meeting at Lyndale United Church of Christ

On December 15, 2-4pm
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 11, 2002-- Martin Sabo, one of the state's U.S.
representatives to vote no on the resolution granting President George W.
Bush war powers against Iraq, will speak at a town meeting, Sunday, Dec. 15,
2-4 p.m., at Lyndale United Church of Christ, 810 W. 31st St. (at Aldrich),
in Minneapolis. Following a brief presentation, Sabo will answer questions
and work with participants to devise effective strategies for communicating
with Congress.
Individuals and organizations working to make their voices heard in
Washington, D.C. on issues of war and peace are invited to join the December
15 conversation with Sabo, who represents Minnesota’s fifth district.
Opportunities to network with one another and to discuss future actions will
follow Sabo's presentation. The meeting is free and open to the public.
Lyndale United Church of Christ is a Just Peace church, a designation that
calls us to act responsibly to bring about justice and peace in the world.
